Creating your own blog is about as easy as creating your own urine, and you’re about as likely to find someone else interested in it.
Wired on blog culture. It’s so true that the laughter is making me cry. While blogging it in a puddle of my own hypocrisy assuming someone’s internet IQ is low enough to read this, of course. I love confusing myself, not just the random strangers who accidentally wander here. Finding a good blog post that disses the piss out of the blogosphere always, always makes me smile. The author also ripped on LiveJournal nicely a couple months back. Internet & tech culture needs a (few dozen) Lester Bangs-types to keep it/me in check. The funnier the better.
- T minus 1 day until the whinier bits of the SL forums implode. Classifieds and creation forums get to stay. People can stop wearing resmod badges, others can bitch inconsequentially out of earshot, and LL can stop trying to corral the massive amounts of pointless BS. Congrats on making that move. Seriously, no cynicism, something had to change & this is probably the best direction. The whining will get displaced to public fora that Googlebot & the Internet Archive will happily index and save for the world at large now, but at least it won’t be stuffed tightly into that icky light blue pool of hatebreeders & tunnel-visionaries.
That said, it’s inspired some neat work for Burning Life.
- A couple days ago, we replaced the giant statue in the plaza in Suffugium with a gorgeous new one built by Darzoni Ornitz. It’s pretty amazing work. Also, Darzoni’s got another equally awesome statue hanging out on Aliasi Stonebender’s Burning Life plot worth seeing. And if you’re familiar enough with Suffugium to get the joke, Ali’s BL build is hilarious and makes me want an army of prehistoric police drones to command.
- Nothing too new Primpop way, other than a few ideas brewing. Mostly been working on behind the scenes things and a whole lot of mostly wonderful first-life stuff.
